Over the years, we have had many customers get upset when they call for a large order (more than 6). at lunch time (11-2) and we wont take the order. Believe me it is not because we don't want the order but at that time of day we usually can't handle it. of course, some of those customers try and be sneaky and call back for 2 orders and try and get what they want. We ask that you respect our policy and accept our rules, we have these rules to service all of our customers in a timely manner.
We will accept large orders of up to 10-15 when the customer calls the day before (8am-10am) , early in the morning (8am-9am) for an order of more reasonable size. we have a very small kitchen and rather than piss off a lot of people by disrupting the order flow with big orders, we try and do what we can do to keep most customers happy with fast service. All large orders we accept have to be picked up or delivered by 1130 am no exception.
We reserve the right to refuse any order we don't think we can handle. .
We at the samich shop believe that deliveries are a courtesy to our customers. we do our very best to deliver your food as close to the time window given at the time the order was taken. we try and cook your delivery order when the driver is ready to deliver, we never cook an order and let it sit. what delivery customers have to understand, we have 30 in house seats and lots of takeout orders that we try and produce and keep everyone satisfied as best we can. trust us, it is not an easy task most of the time. at lunch time, everyone wants their lunch pretty much at the same time.
important: the driver works on tips and or fees when we apply them. we expect customers to tip the driver properly for the service he or she is given.
when delivery customers do not tip the driver decently, we will add a delivery fee of a minimum of $3-5 then tipping is optional.
we also expect all delivery customers to be ready to accept their order in a reasonable time when the driver arrives, we are always trying to keep a pace for deliveries. thank you for your cooperation.
